Dr. Saltzman is my doctor. She's amazing, spends lots of time with you and is very personable. She even gives out her cell phone number. The office is really nice too.

I was a new patient seeing Dr. Saltzman and I would highly recommend her. She has a great bedside manner and she is very patient. I forgot to tell her something and then remembered as she was getting ready to leave the room and she was very kind about sitting back down with me to address this. Her office is not hectic like many medical offices and she is a clam, kind doctor. I plan to have her be my PCP as long as I live in this area!

Dr. Saltzman is the best internist in Philadelphia. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find a better doctor anywhere. Dr. Saltzman is kind, compassionate and a superb clinician, she also knows how to run an office. No lost records or misplaced labs. She takes the time to get to know you, explains everything beautifully and answers all your questions. You will never leave her office without having your problem addressed and being on the road to relief.

As a nurse, I had exceptionally high expectations of who I wanted for my primary care/women’s health provider.  After moving to Philadelphia and looking for the last two years, I finally discovered Dr. Leslie Saltzman. She has far exceeded my expectations.  I believe that in medicine in this day and age, it is difficult to find a doctor who is as smart, caring, and as thorough as Dr. Saltzman.  During my first visit, she spent an hour with me taking a comprehensive medical history, performing a complete physical exam, and discussing all of my health-related concerns without ever looking at the clock.  She even gave me her email address and cell phone number in case I had a concern at any time after-hours or on the weekends.  I felt that she was genuinely interested in getting to know me as a person not just as her patient.  Her practice is especially targeted toward women and she is certified in both primary care and OBGYN practices.  In addition, her practice offers nutrition, skin, fitness and psychological counseling. Indeed seeing her is a “one-stop shopping” experience.  I have never experienced any care similar to what I have received from Dr. Saltzman and highly recommend that other women seek her out as a provider.

The five star review means "As good as it gets," and it really couldn't be more true of Dr. Saltzman. I feel lucky to have found her (thanks to a partner at my law firm) -- the office is quiet, calm, and beautiful and the receptionist was very friendly and efficient. I didn't wait more than 10 mins to see Dr. Saltzman, and, I have to say that the care and attention she gives to you is above and beyond. You go through all your health care concerns right off the top, no rushing, just patient inquiry and figuring out the right options, and there's the standard "turn your head and cough" rigormarole of the physical which was relatively quick and painless. Truly impressive is that Dr. Saltzman draws the blood herself to do the bloodwork. No labs, no schlepping around town, etc. Very hands-on, old-school patient care from a beautiful young doctor fresh out of Pennsylvania Hospital's residency. Anyway, Saltzman is the real deal, and even gave me her cell phone number if I need her.

Five stars are not enough for this doctor's office. I actually made it a point to write this review as soon as I got home before eating dinner because I was so super impressed.

First off, Dr. Saltzman's phone staff is amazing. I called on a whim after two doctor's failed to recognize what I had told them was ailing me. The first told me nothing was wrong, the second gave me a too-short dose of medication that made my issue come back...can we say incompetent? Originally I was told that the first available appointment wouldn't be open until 3 weeks down the road. I couldn't wait that long, but I received a call the next morning to say that an opening had become available and could I come then. Of course I took it and I'm so glad that I did.

Dr. Saltzman's office is located in a brownstone on Pine St. that is beautifully decorated, so clean, and doesn't smell sterile like other offices that I dread so much. The staff at the front desk are so nice, all with smiles. I don't think I had to sit for more than 5 minutes before being called back to a room 5 minutes BEFORE my 5:00 appointment. How refreshing! I doctor's waiting room where you don't have to wait?

Dr. Saltzman was very reassuring of my concerns, told me what needed to be done to ensure that my body didn't relapse after the antibiotics, and just had the kind of demeanor that genuinely made me feel good. Oh, and the prescription that was written was a free generic offered by Wegman's Pharmacy...absolutely worth the $4 bridge! For the girl with severe white-coat-syndrome, this is the place to go. Goodbye Jefferson Family Medicine and your zones and hundreds of doctors, hello caring doctor who really values the patient.

Highly recommend.

I have been looking for a new primary in the area for some time. Dr. Leslie Saltzman and her staff are kind personable and respectful of your time. Her office is crisp, clean and modern.

I had a full physical during out first visit and she spent nearly an hour gathering my medical history and assessing me. She called the next week to f/u on the blood work she ordered. Apparently, I had a Vitamin D deficiency, she informed me she already called the supplement into my local pharmacy and instructed me on how to take it.

I was so impressed with her prompt follow-up, she's a keeper!  Additionally, she offers evening hours a day or two during the week.

*Note: Ladies, have your levels checked or start supplementing with OTC Vit D. I eat a balanced diet and run outside most every day. Many women are Vit D deficient and fatigued or sluggish because of it.

I hate going to the doctor. In fact, I loathe it. All I want to do on the day that a scheduled doctor's appointment rolls around is build a little fort in bed and stay there, telling myself that there is no good reason why I need to go to the doctor.

The reality of it is that we should all be concerned about our health, and annual exams are one of the keys to preventing future nastiness. Because this fact supercedes my fear of the person in the white coat with the cold stethoscope, I go religiously ever year.

Long story short, I have been through a stint of doctors who were either very impersonal or in my opinion, just wanted to get through the exam without actually getting to know me. I was in desperate need for a good doctor, so I went online one day to search for one that was not only close to where I work, but also a female, as I feel most comfortable with female doctors. I honestly chose Dr. Saltzman on a whim, and it was the best whim that I've ever had the opportunity to experience.

I was quite nervous before my first appointment with Dr. Saltzman, because this is my normal emotion associated with going to the doctor. Most of that nervousness melted away after I realized that Dr. Saltzman actually cared about getting to know not just mine & my family's medical history, but about ME. She asked me everything from questions about my diet to lifestyle changes, to the normal "have you been feeling fine" questions. She also spent a lot of time addressing my weight, and every single time I would go back to see Dr. Saltzman she repeatedly asked me what I was planning to do about my weight not rudely, but in a very caring manner. She would even offer diet and exercise suggestions and gave me the information for a nutritionist. Because of being made to finally realize that I do need to drop some very unnecessary pounds, I joined the gym Sweat one month ago. I now work out five days per week and I have been keeping tabs on my diet. Thanks to Dr. Saltzman, I feel better than I have in a long time. I very highly recommend her if you are looking for a fabulous, professional physician who cares about not only the body but the person that owns it.
